摘要Abstract: Electron density distribution of a streamer in development stage is simulated with Monte Carlo Particle-In-Cell (MC-PIC) method in Nitrogen at 300 Td. Space charge field is divided into four parts, and null-collision technique is applied. Renormalizations of test particles are performed regularly, with special attention to keep the run away electrons intact. The run away electrons are found to increase substantially within limited time steps due to extremely strong local space charge field, such that impact ionization consume local neutral density and causes the termination of streamer. Such high energy run away electrons are vital in applications like air cleaning and bio-decontamination for their high energy.
