摘要Abstract: The occurrence of defects in a bearing system could cause vibration impulse events to burst the change of some wave crest shapes in the time domain. In this paper, a novel technique is proposed to detect these defect impulses and could improve the accuracy of defect diagnosis for bearing systems in the time domain. By applying a wavelet-based envelope function to vibration signals, the singularity exponents of signals are calculated and used as feature parameters of defect diagnosis. When using in analyzing the vibration signal of bearing systems, the singularity exponents could be effective in distinguishing a defect bearing from a normal one.
