摘要Abstract: In this letter, a low profile uniplanar monopole slot antenna was developed for implanted biotelemetry applications. The proposed slot antenna is consisted of four rectangular inductive loading spirals structure associated with the monopole radiating part. The operating resonant frequency of this antenna is designed to conform to the band (402 ~ 405 MHz) provided by Medical Implant Communication Services (MICS). Due to the symmetric slot antenna structure, the cross polar far field pattern is improved significantly while compared with those in non slot implanted antenna. While the proposed antenna was immersed in skin simulated phantom fluid, it exhibits good implanted antenna characteristics such as bandwidth of 184 MHz (46%), return loss 30 db, the SAR of 722 W/Kg, and peak gain of 29 db, respectively. Additionally, the compact low profile slot antenna only occupied a miniaturized volume of 16*16*0.635 mm3
